This is the First World War diary of Walter Williamson of the 6th Battalion Cheshire Regiment. It starts when he is called to war in 1916 at the age of 28. The diary contains maps of the areas where 'The Cheshires' saw action, and photographs of Walter and his family, and of the regiment he fought with.
