Anson Mount and Jason Patric star in this psychological thriller written and directed by Joseph Sorrentino. In the early 1960s, psychiatrist Dr. Ford Strauss (Mount) is approached by CIA agent Galvin Morgan (Patric) to conduct experiments with LSD on four patients in a rural psychiatric hospital. As the trials progress, Strauss begins to question Morgan's ethics and wonders why the CIA are interested in his experiments. In the process of seeking answers, he uncovers a shocking conspiracy.
